联合国航运公司推进更严格的海运燃料规则

中国石化新闻网讯 据路透社10月26日报道称，本周，联合国航运公司推迟了任何分阶段实施更严格的海运燃料规定的决定，并进一步收紧了将于2020年生效的法规。
国际海运组织将从2020年1月1日起禁止使用含硫量超过0.5％的燃料，目前这一比例为3.5％，除非船舶配备了所谓的洗涤器以清除硫排放。
违反新规定的船舶将面临罚款或国际海事组织成员国扣留的风险。
自2016年成立以来，航运和炼油行业一直在努力为这一转变做好准备并投入大量资金以遵守新标准。
上周，华盛顿方面表示，将支持2020年规则的逐步实施，以保护消费者免受供暖和运输燃料的任何价格飙升，不过它没有寻求延迟。
